Leadership For the Future
The Leadership for the Future workshop series highlights the role of leaders in cultivating shared purpose through strong communication and team building. This blended training program allows leaders to explore future-focused topics on "Supporting Your Teams", "Psychological Safety" & "Growth Mindset".
Page/LEAD Program
A Library Page is an entry-level position great for high school and college students eager to make a difference in their community. As a Library Page employee, you will be a member of the Library Page Fellowship Program, which provides career development and on-the-job skill building and resources to help develop career readiness skills, explore career goals, and provide on-the-job coaching, training, and mentorship.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA)
The Library’s DEIA Office is committed to promoting advocacy, inclusion and awareness for staff through programming, collaboration, and outreach. Our wide range of program offerings includes speakers, author talks, conferences, and participation in community events. The DEIA Office also offers opportunities for staff to become directly involved in our DEIA efforts across the Library, by applying for a position on the staff Diversity Council or participating in one of our identity-based Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), where we provide platforms for employees to connect, share experiences, and advocate for change. These combined efforts empower our workforce, cultivate a sense of belonging, and ensure a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace for all.
Ongoing Professional Development
The Learning and Development team provides "Just In Time" learning opportunities for staff through online tutorials, coaching and attendance at organizational events. At the Library, it is our mission to continually improve the skills of our colleagues through education, exposure, and experience.
